Risk Ready has been created to satisfy an important need in Rim Country!
With some research, we found that there is nothing being offered anywhere in the local area for employer's and their employee's
to get top notch workplace safety training and education. As important as it is to "get the job done," it is our goal and priority, to keep your incident rates as close to zero and assist in decreasing your Experience Modification Rating (E.M.R.).
Ron began his career in safety working in public safety. In 1995 Ron received his certification and began working as an Emergency Medical Technician (E.M.T.) on an ambulance for one of the local Fire Departments. In 1997 Ron obtained his Fire Operations 1 & 2. After more training and education, Ron became a Certified Emergency Paramedic (C.E.P.) in 1998. Ron began teaching after he acquired his Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R) Instructor and First Aid Instructor in 1998. Shortly following in 1999 Ron also received the required training to become an Instructor for the E.M.T. program. In the year 2000, Ron became an instructor to deliver the Prehospital Trauma Life Support (P.H.T.L.S.) course, which focused solely on the care of and management of traumatic injuries. Ron began teaching some of the more critical medical certifications in 2004 including Advance Cardiac Life Support (A.C.L.S.), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (P.A.L.S). Also, in 2004, Ron founded a 501©3 Non-Profit organization which provided free life safety education to families such as CPR and 1stAid. The training Ron provided had one confirmed successful life saved of a 10-month-old infant. Ron was interviewed by local media, promoting the organization and their success. Ron upgraded his P.A.L.S. certification due to standards change in 2007 and began teaching the program referred to as P.E.P.P. which is the acronym for Prehospital Education for Prehospital Professionals. Ron continued to teach these programs until 2010. “Lovingly,” Ron said, “working in the capacity as a Firefighter and Paramedic, I learned that I was working in the worst day of someone’s life Business.” He continued by stating, “No one calls 911 unless they are having one of the worst days of their lives or, more often than not, they’re calling 911 for someone who could not call for themselves.” Being on the reactive and responsive side of an emergency, Ron realized this was not where he belonged, although this was his childhood dream. After 15 years, in March of 2010, Ron left the fire department. In 2012 Ron found himself back in safety, but on the preventative side. Ron began working as a Safety Professional and Paramedic offshore in the gas and oil industry. From March 2010 through March of 2016, Ron wasn’t required to use even one of his Paramedic skills. He retired from his certification after 21 years total fire and medical. In 2013 Ron began teaching safety related classes which resemble almost every class offered by Risk Ready today, like Lockout/Tag Out, Fall Protection, and Confined Space to name only a few. Ron has been involved in safety in some capacity his entire adult life. Ron is still teaching and has also become more educated himself. This year in 2024, Ron received his Authorization from OSHA as an Outreach Instructor. As an Authorized Outreach Instructor for OSHA, Ron is now delivering OSHA 10 hour and 30 hours certifications for the Construction Industry. In addition, in 2024, Ron became an instructor to certify operators for Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, and Class 1, 4, 5, and 7 Forklifts. Today Ron is still teaching and includes real life, past traumatic situations in his lectures, which assist in altering their perception of safety. Ron's entire life required a more focused attention to safety. This attention to safety was not only due working fire scenes and accident scenes on highways, but so did his private life. In his spare time Ron was riding his Harley, racing cars on a clay oval track, and even jumping from an aircrafts in flight. Ron has a goal to have the greatest impact on safety, but not for just one company or business at a time. He has the desire to obtain the ability to affect safety for all businesses he can reach, and he hopes to reach you.
